How to convert PDF to Word

  1. Drop in a text-based PDF.
  2. Press Convert to Word — text, tables and images are extracted page by page.
  3. Download the .docx and edit it in Word, WPS or Google Docs.

What to expect (honest version)

PDF stores glyphs at fixed positions, so this tool reconstructs structure from coordinates: paragraphs and indents are rebuilt, ruled tables are read from the PDF's own border lines and become real Word tables with multi-line cells, and embedded images are re-inserted in place. Borderless tables, merged-cell layouts and decorative effects stay approximate; scanned PDFs have no text layer and cannot be converted.

Frequently asked questions

Will the Word file look exactly like the PDF?

Content, order, headings, indents, ruled tables and images are preserved. Borderless tables, merged cells and exact fonts/columns are approximated. Treat the result as an editable draft, not a layout replica.

Why does my scanned PDF fail?

Scanned pages are images — there is no text to extract. OCR (in-browser, via WebAssembly) is on our roadmap.

Is my document uploaded?

Never. Extraction and .docx generation both run inside your browser.
