Privacy Policy

Last updated: September 2026

The short version

Your files never leave your device. All tools on LocalKit run locally in your browser. We do not receive, store, or even see the files you process. There are no accounts, so we don't ask for — or store — any personal information.

Files you process

When you use a tool (for example, compressing an image or merging a PDF), the file is read by your own browser and processed by JavaScript running on your device. No upload occurs. You can verify this yourself in your browser's developer tools (Network tab): no file data is transmitted.

Server logs

Like virtually all websites, our hosting provider (Cloudflare) keeps standard technical access logs (IP address, browser type, pages visited, timestamps) for security and abuse prevention. These logs contain the pages you load — never the contents of files you process with the tools.

Cookies and advertising

LocalKit is free and supported by advertising. We may display ads served by Google AdSense. Third-party vendors, including Google, use cookies to serve ads based on your prior visits to this and other websites.

If you are in the EEA/UK, we only set advertising cookies where required consent has been given via the consent prompt shown in your region.

Changes

If this policy changes materially, we will update this page with a new "last updated" date.
