How to add watermarks
- Drop in the images you want to protect.
- Type the watermark text, pick a position or tiling, adjust size and opacity.
- Press Add watermark and download the results.
Tips
- Ownership proof: use the tile mode with 20–30% opacity — it survives cropping and is hard to remove.
- Shared drafts: a single corner mark with the word DRAFT keeps documents readable.
- Light photos: white text with a soft black shadow stays visible on any background.
Frequently asked questions
Are my images uploaded to a server?
No. Watermarks are drawn with the Canvas API inside your browser. Images never leave your device.
Can someone remove my watermark?
Any visible watermark can technically be edited out. Dense low-opacity tiling is by far the hardest to remove cleanly and is what we recommend for proof of ownership.
Can I use a logo image instead of text?
Not yet — the current tool stamps text. Image watermarks are on the roadmap.
